The first public release of rl-protect.

rl-protect by ReversingLabs is a command-line tool that parses software package manifest files to help developers ensure the open source dependencies in their projects are safe to use before they're installed. The tool can be used with a free account on Spectra Assure Community or connected to a Spectra Assure Portal instance to unlock advanced capabilities.

Key features:

• Support for npm, PyPI, and RubyGems software packages and manifest files
• Scanning results can be saved as a human-readable rl-protect.json report file for further analysis
• Fully configurable scanning profiles allow users to create and apply custom dependency governance rules
